10-31-24  Happy Halloween to all! We’ve had a warm, dry fall and we’ve all been looking for rain.  Unfortunately for the trick or treaters the rain is here today along with cold and snow.  Ugh!  Hopefully it will end by the time the kids are out looking for candy but I guess we can be grateful for the moisture after a few months of drought.

8-30-24  It’s been quite a summer here in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.  We’ve had lots of rain after 2 years of drought and we’ve had only few days with high temps in the 90’s.  Recent storms have also taken a toll.  Through it all, we do our best to stay safe and take care of each other.

7-1-24  It’s been a very wet, cool summer so far.  It’s hard to believe we were in a drought until a few short weeks ago.  We’re certainly hoping for more dry weather although the forecast is not looking good.  The damp weather has certainly added to the need for air conditioning and remote starters.  Whether it’s hot or cold outside, we all like to get into a climate controlled vehicle.  We hope you stay safe as you celebrate Independence Day and look forward to seeing you soon!

1-31-24  Christmas and New Year’s have come and gone and we had a great year working with you, our customers.  Now January is at an end and the weather is warm outside.  It feels like spring but Minnesota has a way of teasing us and getting our hopes up.  We feel bad for the snow lovers and our lack of snow but we know the shovels can come back out at any moment.  Regardless of how you feel about the weather, DAS is here to help with all your automotive accessory needs.  From remote starts to hitches and beyond, we are here to help.

12-1-23  Thanksgiving is done and we are moving towards Christmas.  The weather has been unseasonably warm and we’ve had very little snow.  It’s been nice to delay winter for a while but we all know it’s still coming.  For now, we will be thankful for the weather and for customers like you.  Thanks for being part of our DAS family.  Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

10-31-23:  The sun is shining now but we had 2 1/2″ of wet, slushy snow overnight.  We all got a quick reminder of what it’s like to drive on icy roads and a taste of what we have ahead of us for the next 4-6 months.  Ugh.  Needless to say, a remote starter is a necessity to help us get through these cold, snowy months.  Heated seats are a must as well.  We can help with either item.  Just give us a call.  Welcome to winter!

8-31-23:  It’s hard to believe the State Fair is almost over and some kids are already back in school.  It’s been a warm summer but it’s hard to complain about the heat when we know it will be below zero here very soon.  My remote start is getting a work out with me trying to keep my car cool in the heat.  It works great and if you don’t have one you should call us now before the winter rush.  In the meantime, enjoy what’s left of the summer!

5-30-23:  We hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend and the fantastic weather here in Minnesota.  We also hope you were able to take a few minutes over the holiday weekend to remember those who have fought for our freedom and paid with their lives.  We are fortunate to live in this great country and for the work of our Armed Forces.  Thank you to all service members past and present.

3-1-23 March is here but the weather is the same:  snow then rain….rain then snow.  Yikes!  It’s been quite a winter.  We continue to install remote starters to help everyone get through these tough months.  We’re also installing more and more dash cameras and catalytic converter protectors.  If you own a Hyundai or Kia with a regular metal key please contact us to find out what we can do to help with theft protection.  We can install a starter kill and/or alarm system to stop your vehicle from being a target.

12-30-22  It’s hard to believer but another year has come and gone.  2022 was quite a year.  We had lots of challenges with high inflation and supply chain issues but we also had lots of blessings with great customers and supply partners.  Thanks to all of you for continuing to support us and work with us.  We wish you all of very Happy New Year!

9-1-22  It’s hard to believe the State Fair is here and August is gone.  It’s been a wonderful Minnesota summer but there is definitely a chill in the air at night and the daylight hours are getting shorter and shorter.  Some kids are already back in school and others will go back next week.  These are all signs that fall and winter are fast approaching.  There’s no way to predict how much snow we will get this winter or how cold it will be but, no matter what, a remote car starter can help get you through the cold winter months.  More vehicle applications are being added all the time so give us a call to quote a remote start for your vehicle.  We look forward to hearing from you.

4-29-22  We’ve nearly made it to May and we’re definitely wondering where the sunshine is.  My remote starter is still getting a work out each day as I run to the car in between rain and snow showers.  Hopefully our April showers will bring LOTS of May flowers.

3-8-2022 It’s been quite a winter and each time we think Spring is here we get another snow storm.  Ugh.  The good news is that remote starter sales are stronger than ever and even if it’s cold outside our cars are warm inside.  It was a busy winter and we are grateful for our CompuStar remote start suppliers who made sure we had remote starters in stock so we could take care of our great customers.  We continue to adjust to all the new challenges in our ever changing world but through it all we are grateful for loyal employees and customers.  Thanks to everyone!
